Guidelines and Standards of Acceptance for Shout Out Messages

To protect the interests of our visitors and to maintain the integrity and quality of the information presented to our user community, PCSPortico.com has established the following code of acceptable standards for the Shout Outs meant for our troops.

All Shout Outs are subject to approval by PCSPortico.com staff or their designee. The editor reserves the right to reject any message, for any reason, with or without cause, and with or without explanation.

PCSPortico.com was created to provide some measure of support to our men and women in uniform. Messages that are determined by the editor to be negative, or are suspected to be fraudulent, misleading, deceptive, discriminatory, obscene, profane, derogatory or libelous will not be accepted. Messages deemed by the editor to be unduly offensive to a substantial portion of our user community may be declined.

Below are listed types of messages that will not be accepted:

• Messages that disparage the U.S. government (in whole or in part), military members, DOD employees and/or our allies
• Political or issue-oriented messages
• Messages containing sexual references
• Messages containing codes
• Messages denigrating any person or group based on age, religion, physical or mental disability, sexual orientation, ethnicity or race
• Any communication that might be considered objectionable to our readers
• Also, we will not accept message with specific names, units or locations that might jeopardize OpSec (Operational Security) - To help them stay safe, please speak in generalities
• And, please do not include personally-identifying information here, such as names, phone numbers, addresses or email
